Bedrooms
The Dower House nursing home has thirty-nine spacious bedsitting rooms, each with its own bathroom plus four rooms with en-suite toilet and basin.
The majority of rooms have doors leading onto our beautiful lawns and gardens. Eight of the rooms are on the first floor, but have access to the grounds at this level. There are two passenger lifts to the ground floor.
The rooms are equipped to a very high standard, with large windows mostly facing south and west with views of lawns, shrubs and a pond, which attracts a variety of wildlife. All rooms have television and telephone sockets, and a majority of the rooms have computer access points. There is a nurse call system in the bedroom and bathroom and individual central heating controls. There are three special Parker baths and two Arjo baths, with hoists for residents unable to use a conventional bath.
Our dedicated nursing team combines a high degree of individual personal and nursing care within a nursing home/country house atmosphere.
The rooms are carpeted and curtained and residents are encouraged to bring their own furniture and personal effects.
The rooms with en-suite facilities are in a separate first floor wing. These rooms are fully furnished for short term stays.
